# Quickstart

> Send your first requests to a running geolith search server.

These examples assume a server on `localhost:4000`. See [Running](/search/self-hosting/running) to start one. All responses below are real, from a server that serves an India `.glx` file with 6,184,103 places. Each is trimmed to two features.
